Assessment Centers: Structuring Centers for Collaboration and Neutrality

Assessment Centers divert and prevent youth from system involvement by serving as centralized, coordinated point of contact for youth who are struggling at home, community, or school.  Through a panel discussion, this webinar will use three existing Centers and one developing Center to highlight how Assessment Centers serve as the collaborative hub between systems, youth and families, and service providers.  This webinar is designed to be a follow-up to our recent publication The Benefit of Neutrality.  It will showcase the different structures of Assessment Centers (nonprofit vs county vs other government branch) both new and existing and how they facilitate that collaboration within the community while also ensuring neutrality.

Panelists
Joshua Campbell - Multi-Agency Resource Center, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana
Sarah Troy - 18th Judicial Juvenile Assessment Center, Colorado

Cheryl Wright - The Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center, Clark County, Nevada
