NAC Framework Training: Strengthening Screening and Assessment

Screening and assessment are foundational components of the NAC Assessment Center Framework, guiding how youth and families are understood, engaged, and connected to services. This training will explore how Assessment Centers can design and implement screening and assessment practices that support consistent decision-making, equitable service matching, and timely referrals while promoting youth- and family-centered engagement.

Participants will examine key considerations for selecting tools, structuring processes, and coordinating across partners to ensure effective service delivery and prevent deeper system involvement. This session is part of NAC’s ongoing training series, designed to support Assessment Centers and their partners in strengthening core functions and implementing the NAC Framework in communities across the country.
